Jargon , Abbreviation and Acronym

Jargon:

Special words and ​phrases that are used by  particular groups of ​people, ​ especially in ​their ​work. Jargon usually means the specialized language used by people in the same work or profession.

Examples:

  •    DIP - Dots per inch - a measure of resolution - Computer term
  •    Shrink - Psychiatrist - Medical term.
  •    CSI - Crime Scene Investigation - Law enforcement term

Acronym:

An abbreviation consisting of the first ​letters of each word in the name of something, pronounced as a word.

Examples:
  •          CO - Conference - Business term
  •          B4 - Before - Common term
  •        LOL - Laughing out loud - Everyday term

Abbreviations:

A shortened form of something.

Examples:
  •          DAT - Diet as tolerated - Medical term
  •          AF - Acerelation factor - Physics term
  •          UT - Utah - State of US
